​Following the 5th activity within the framework of the Capacity Building Project for Vietnam Customs sponsored by the WCO and the Norwegian Development Agency (Norad), WCO experts conducted the 6th working session on the following contents. content partnership, compliance management, and customer service from December 8 to 19, 2014.

At the beginning of the working session, Director General Nguyen Ngoc Tuc had a meeting with Project Director Norad Philip Wood and Ms. Liz Allen, an international expert of the Project. Thereby, the two sides discussed the results achieved so far and the orientation of the work plan in the coming time as well as the possibility of expanding the project to 2016.

Director General Nguyen Ngoc Tuc expressed his hope that Vietnam Customs will continue to receive support from WCO in the coming years and hope that this visit of experts will be successful. At the same time, through the expert, Director General Nguyen Ngoc Tuc sent his sincere thanks and best wishes for health, happiness and success to the Secretary General.

One of the main contents of the working session was the Compliance Management workshop on December 9-10, 2014 at the General Department of Customs.

At the seminar, the expert introduced the compliance management strategy, emphasizing that this is considered an overall strategy with the participation and coordination of relevant units of the General Department, not only risk management techniques.

The purpose of developing a compliance management strategy is to improve the efficiency of compliance management in each stage and each operation of the customs authority, to support enterprises to voluntarily comply with and minimize the risk. management burden for customs authorities.

The expert also had working sessions on customer service content on December 11-12, 2014 with units at the General Department to understand the tasks, functions and tasks performed by the units. . From there, there is an overview of activities to support Vietnam Customs in developing a customer service strategy along with a specific implementation plan.

Also within the framework of this activity, sample consultation sessions on the customs-enterprise partnership were held in a number of key areas including Customs Departments of provinces, Lang Son, Hai Phong, and Ha Noi cities. Noi, City. Ho Chi Minh, Binh Duong.

At the end of the consultation sessions, the experts and the members of the Partnership Group together with the representatives of the Customs Departments reviewed, assessed, learned from experience and made recommendations on the implementation of the consultation.
