In 2013, Vietnam exported rice to 35 out of 55 African countries with a total turnover of 775.02 million USD, up 2% compared to 2012. Rice is the No. 1 export item of our country. In 2013, Vietnam exported pepper to 17 African countries with a total turnover of 58 million USD, of which the largest markets were Egypt (25.8 million USD), South Africa (US $ 12.4 million), Angia (8.6 million USD), Tunisia (5.3 million USD), Gambia (1.4 million USD), Morocco (1.3 million USD).
