Hong Kong Customs and Thailand Customs signed the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) of the Priority Enterprise Program (AEO) on June 11, 2015.
Accordingly, businesses that have been recognized by Hong Kong Customs as AEO will be facilitated by Thai Customs in customs procedures when carrying out import/export procedures in Thailand.
In contrast, Hong Kong Customs will also give businesses that have been recognized by Thailand AEO to enjoy similar incentives in terms of customs procedures when carrying out import and export procedures in Hong Kong.
This is the 5th MRA that Hong Kong Customs has signed with foreign customs, next to the previous MRA with China, India, Korea and Singapore Customs.
