​The General Department of Customs has just issued Document No. 1014/TCHQ-GSQL dated February 4, 2015 replying to the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province about the import of planted forest wood from Cambodia by Vina Wood Import Export Trading Production Co.,Ltd.

The management of import of wood materials from Cambodia is currently carried out according to the direction of the Prime Minister in Official Dispatch No. 2577/TTg-KTN dated December 16, 2014 and the guidance of the General Department of Customs at the General Department of Customs. Document No. 28/TCHQ-GSQL dated 06/01/2015.

Accordingly, when carrying out procedures to import raw wood from Cambodia, enterprises do not require enterprises to present Cambodia's export license.

Customs dossiers comply with current regulations in the Customs Law and guiding documents under the Customs Law.

In case imported wood products are included in Appendix II and III of CITES (localized in Circular No. 40/2013/TT-BNNPTNT dated September 5, 2013 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), the request the enterprise presents the CITES Import Permit issued by the CITES Management Authority of Vietnam - the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Compliance with Cambodian law is the responsibility of timber enterprises from Cambodia to perform themselves.

In case enterprises carry out procedures for importing timber through a secondary border gate or open border gate, they must comply with the provisions of Circular No. 13/2009/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regulating the import and export of goods through the border gate. sub-border gates, the opening of the border is outside the border-gate economic zones.
